This short walk around the Level as darkness is falling will introduce you to ‘The Good Ghosts of the Level’. It’s a chance to see a familiar space in an unfamiliar light – just what Halloween is all about!

Come with us and meet – at least in your imagination – people from the past who’ve been part of The Level: Captain Bertie McClaren walking around his new playground, Harry Cowley leading protests on behalf of market traders, the Prince Regent playing cricket, James Ireland and his crazy zoo, the Wilds father and son designing and building beautiful houses, the railway workers tramping to and from the Locomotive works, and the pioneering women training to be teachers at the end of the 19th century. All of these people ‘haunt’ the Level … Join us to discover more. A family-friendly walk, do come in fancy dress if you’d like: that’s all part of Halloween.
Free but donations welcome
